Great Lakes Paddlers
About Great Lakes Paddlers Canoe & Kayak Club
The Great Lakes Paddlers is a non-profit organization based in southeastern Michigan where canoeing and kayaking is the major focus.
We currently have bi-monthly meetings and the club also tries to hold at least one announced paddling event each month during the warmer months of the year. The meetings are to discuss club business as well as a social event.
See the Join Us membership page for more information. Our Calendar page shows Great Lakes Paddlers events. Current, future and past events can be found on the calendar page.
We also have a members only Great Lakes Paddlers Facebook Group where members can post to meet up with other members for informal paddles and much more.

Goals of the Great Lakes Paddlers:
Coordinate year-round canoeing and kayaking events in southeastern Michigan and surrounding areas for adults and families.
Promote paddle sports through safety, education, and lessons.
Encourage participation and input from the membership Involvement in local, state, and national conservation concerns.
Contribute resources to local charitable organizations.
Enjoy the opportunity to join other clubs from around the state for their events.
The Huron River in Delhi, Hudson Mills, and Kensington Metro Parks, as well as Island Lake State Park are common places for us to paddle. There are other ‘less announced’ paddles that are open to members and friends when the paddlers’ skill levels are known. Some travel / camping and paddling events are also sometimes planned by members.
