Bill Dunphy Memorial Paddle, July 2022
Yesterday’s Bill Dunphy Memorial Paddle was a success. We didn’t have any rain and the Sun was out for most of the day. We had 9 boats with 10 paddlers. 6 kayaks, 2 solo canoes, and 1 tandem canoe. I enjoyed being Tom Brandau‘s bow paddler.
I learned a few tips about tandem paddling vs solo. Thanks to Betsy for picking up our food. Sharon and Chuck helped with setting up the tables. John S and Martha had their bikes. All in all, it was a good day. Cheers, Bill! We miss you.
The fleet is on the move
And Now… some ducks
These are American Black Ducks. I can’t say I have ever seen them before. They both have blue wing bars.
